Madonna and Child with The Infant Saint John the Baptist
Tosini Michele called Michele di Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio, in the manner
(Florence 1503 - 1577)
Formerly ascribed to Raphael, and then to Marcello Venuti, the work should be considered a pale shadow of the religious work of Michele di Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio. This piece was still employing traditional simplified schemes readily understandable to worshippers, and stuck to the serene classical and balanced models of the beginning of the century.
