Ricordate alla metà del Seicento nella Palazzina sotto il nome di Raffaello, poi assegnate a Giulio Romano e a Orazio Gentileschi, le quattro Storie di Giuseppe Ebreo appartengono in realtà alla produzione giovanile del Bachiacca. Gli altri tre episodi raffigurati sono: L’arresto dei fratelli; Giuseppe venduto; Ricerca della coppa rubata. Le tavole fanno parte della decorazione della celebre camera nuziale di Pierfrancesco Borgherini, commissionata nel 1515 per le sue nozze con Margherita Acciaiuoli. Il complesso, oggi disperso, era articolato in una serie di pannelli pittorici con le storie di Giuseppe Ebreo, assegnati a vari artisti, incastonati nell’apparato ligneo di Baccio d'Agnolo. Le tavolette del Bachiacca dovevano decorare probabilmente il piedistallo del letto nuziale.
