EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS 2025: TALES OF LIGHT WILL BE FREE!

On Saturday 27 September, during the European Heritage Days 2025, the Tales of Light experience will be free of charge for all visitors.
Tales of Light is an immersive visual journey that blends history, art, and technology to reveal Galleria Borghese in a new light. It’s an evocative narrative that spans centuries of masterpieces, restorations, and transformations, returning an extraordinary place to the public—where memory meets innovation.
The decision to offer free access stems from a twofold intention: on the one hand, the project was made possible by funding from the PNRR – National Recovery and Resilience Plan, particularly the initiatives aimed at promoting accessibility and enhancing cultural heritage; on the other, the free admission perfectly aligns with this year’s European Heritage Days theme, “Architectures: the Art of Building”, which finds one of its most emblematic expressions in Galleria Borghese—a place where architecture is both content and container, a work of art in itself and a guardian of countless masterpieces.
The aim is to make culture truly accessible to all, by removing not only physical barriers but also cognitive and sensory ones—encouraging broader, more inclusive, and more informed participation.
The museum will remain open in the evening with two special time slots, at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM, each lasting 90 minutes, at a symbolic price of €1, except for visitors eligible for free admission.
Tickets must be purchased separately and are subject to a mandatory booking fee. Availability is limited and subject to capacity.
