THE NEW FAMILY TOUR DEDICATED TO THE CURRENT EXHIBITION
Stories from Around the World. Images, poetry and legend at Galleria Borghese as a bridge between Europe and Africa is the new family-friendly tour designed for the exhibition Wangechi Mutu. Black Soil Poems, running through September 14, 2025, every Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
The tour focuses on the theme of myth as a catalyst for the universal imagination—from family memories to ancestral and tribal myths, to those crystallized and layered through history. The dialogue between Bernini’s great sculptures, the frescoed ceilings, and Wangechi Mutu’s works will spark a dynamic visual exchange, drawing children’s attention to the variety of narratives and materials the Kenyan artist uses to shape and express her inner world and cultural roots.
An interactive dialogue with participants will be encouraged throughout the visit, welcoming reflections and questions from children, who are especially receptive to unconventional forms of art and materials.
The tour will take place entirely on the ground floor and in the garden every Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 p.m. At the end, participants will have time to explore the upper floor independently. The visit lasts approximately 80 minutes and is designed for children accompanied by family members.
