Giacomo Carissimi – Plorate per Coro a 6 Voci
The concert pays homage to Giacomo Carissimi (1605–1674), one of the greatest composers of the 17th century, described by his contemporary Athanasius Kircher as the “Master of European Music.” Carissimi was particularly renowned for his Latin oratorios, dramatic musical compositions with religious themes. His most famous works include Jephte, Jonas, Judicium Salomonis, and many others. The artists are: Riccardo Martinini, Furio Zanasi, Silvia Frigato and Le Chœur Musicanova.
