ESISTERE COME DONNA. LOUISE BOURGEOIS AND ITALY
On Wednesday, September 11th at 6 PM, the final event of the program dedicated to the great visionary and iconic artist Louise Bourgeois, who profoundly influenced XX century art through her research, will be held at the Scarpa hall of MAXXI.
The event focuses on the most recent studies on Louise Bourgeois, starting with a conversation between art historian Carla Subrizi and curator Ulf Küster, who is working on a major exhibition about the artist set to open in 2027 at the Beyeler Foundation in Basel.
The discussion will also feature Maria Nadotti, journalist, translator, and essayist, and author of the collection Prove d’ascolto. Incontri e visioni, which includes an interview conducted with Louise Bourgeois in March 1993.
The event will be introduced by Francesco Spano, Secretary General of the MAXXI Foundation.
