BLACK MIRROR

From 8 October 2014 to 11 January 2015 the Soprintendenza Speciale per il Patrimonio Storico Artistico ed Etnoantropologico e per il Polo Museale della città di Roma and the Galleria Borghese are presenting the “Black Mirror” exhibition by Mat Collishaw.

Inspired by the collction of paintings and sculptures housed in the Museum, the English artist executed four works, adopting the modern techniques of Murano glass-making and 3-D animated cartoons. His site-specific installations establish a direct relationship with the art-historical context hosting him, in a dialogue between past and present.

In line with its role of supporting the best British creative talents, the British Council, our partner for this event, has commissioned the young Italian director Elisa Fuksas to make a documentary on Mat Collishaw’s exhibition at the Galleria Borghese.
