FROM FEBRUARY 13 TO 16, GALLERIA BORGHESE WILL MAKE YOU FALL IN LOVE!
From February 13 to 16, the Galleria Borghese will make you fall in love with the special initiative “The Goddess of Love: The Many Faces of Venus”. Every day from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the museum will offer themed insights into the many representations of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. Sensual or modest, beloved and celebrated by artists and patrons alike, her widespread presence in the Borghese collection testifies to her timeless allure.
These sessions will take place in Room X, the so-called Cabinet of Venuses on the museum’s first floor, and in Room I on the ground floor, home to Pauline Bonaparte as Venus Victrix, an embodiment of the goddess’s eternal power of fascination and a tribute to Canova’s genius.
During Valentine’s week, visitors are also invited to participate in the social contest “Capture Love at the Galleria!”. Simply snap a gesture, a moment, or a work of art related to the initiative and post it on your Instagram, tagging @galleriaborgheseufficiale and using #borgheseinlove.
Selected images will be shared in the museum’s official Instagram stories, and the most beautiful one will receive a sweet prize!
