The Galleria Borghese presents "Beyond Marble," a ten-episode podcast that shines a spotlight on the unexplored treasure of its archaeological collection, told through stories to listen to.
The listener will be taken on a journey to discover the Ancient displayed at the Borghese, adorning the walls and serving as sumptuous furnishings, often overlooked by the public's interest, which usually focuses on the great masterpieces of modern sculpture.
The podcast offers accessible content for people with visual disabilities, thanks to the collaboration of Professor Lucilla D'Antilio, a blind sculptor and teacher.
The experience of "Beyond Marble" does not end with listening. The public is invited to leave their impressions and to engage in a dialogue with the creators, Dr. Stefania Vannini, art historian of the Ministry of Culture and Accessibility Manager of the Galleria Borghese, and Rasul Mojaverian, archaeologist.
The podcast will also activate a series of tactile paths in the museum dedicated to people with visual disabilities and sighted visitors, integrated with some copies made specifically by sculptor Stefano Amici.
The episodes will be available on major streaming platforms, on the museum's website, and on the social media pages of the Galleria Borghese through the email contact: ga-bor.accessibilita@cultura.gov.it
The narrating voices are those of actors Alessandra Mortelliti and Filippo Tirabassi.
