SPEND VALENTINE’S DAY AT GALLERIA BORGHESE! A WHOLE WEEK OF SPECIAL INITIATIVES!

SPEND VALENTINE’S DAY AT GALLERIA BORGHESE! A WHOLE WEEK OF SPECIAL INITIATIVES!

From February 14th to 19th Galleria Borghese will make you fall in love!

“The goddess of love: the thousand faces of Venus” is the title of the special initiative that we dedicate to the feast of lovers.

Every day from 4 to 7pm the museum offers thematic insights to discover the many faces of Venus. Goddess of love, beauty, natural fertility, sensual or modest, capricious or persuasive, Venus finds ample space in the imagination of artists and patrons, as evidenced by her widespread presence in the Borghese collection. The insights will take place in room X, the so-called Cabinet of Venuses, located on the first floor of the museum, and in room I, on the ground floor, dedicated to Paolina Borghese as Venus Victrix, apotheosis of the goddess’s eternal fascination power and celebration of genius by Canova 200 years after his death.

Furthermore, during the week of Valentine’s Day, visitors of Galleria Borghese are invited to participate in the social contest “Shoot love in the Museum!”. Just capture a gesture, a moment or a work linked to the initiative and publish it on your Instagram channel tagging @galleriaborgheseufficiale and #borgheseinlove. The images will be shared in the stories of the museum’s official account and the most beautiful will be awarded with You and me, the Galleria Borghese membership card dedicated to couples.

The initiative is free, except for the cost of the museum entrance ticket and the compulsory reservation. To purchase the ticket, visit this page or call +39 06 32810.

Fall in love at the Galleria Borghese! Fall in love with the Galleria Borghese!
